How are neurosurgeons trained?
After the usual six yeas of medical school another six years are necessary to obtain the certification as neurosurgeon. During these post-graduate studies the student learns a variety of diagnostic methods in order to be able to interpret different findings as well as fundamental knowledge about the human brain, the spinal cord, the peripheral nervous system and the necessary surgical techniques.
