What is worth knowing about endoscopy?
In contemporary neurosurgery, medical treatments are possible, that only a short time ago were unimaginable. In a first step the so-called microsurgery lessened the strain on patients considerably. Incisions were reduced to approximately 2 cm. But progress went even further, since endoscopy is applied. The development of endoscopic methods caused another medical revolution. Now, only an incision of 1 cm is necessary for endoscopic neurosurgical operations.
